U.S. Highways 221 and 341 – also known as the Golden Isles Highway – easily connect our small town with the larger cities of Brunswick to the south, Savannah to the east, Augusta to the northeast, Atlanta and Macon to the north, and Columbus and Albany to the west. Jeff Davis County’s proximity to Interstates 75, 95, 16, and 10 and the Georgia ports at Savannah and Brunswick enhance its transportation advantages.

Hazlehurst Municipal Airport (AZE) is equipped to serve corporate jets and private aviation. The airport offers a 5,000-foot runway, complete fencing to prevent aircraft-deer accidents, and a modern new terminal outfitted with a weather computer, Internet access, and clean restrooms.

Rail freight is readily available via Norfolk Southern and CSX. Passenger rail on Amtrak can be accessed an hour away at Jesup, Georgia, or in Savannah.
